Journal of Mining Science and Technology is a bimonthly Chinese academic journal on mining science, which is administered by Ministry of Education of the P.R.C., edited by China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing, and published by Emergency Management Press. Under the national energy safety strategy and the support from mining universities and research institutes, the journal aims to promote the development of China's mining science, release policies for the development of the mining industry and safety engineering, publish original findings from domestic and overseas scholars on theoretical and applied research in the field of geological resources and geological engineering, surveying science and technology, mining engineering, coal mining, safety science and engineering, mine construction engineering, rock mechanics and underground engineering, mining machinery engineering, mine electrical engineering and automation, mine communication and information engineering, mineral processing and utilization, coal mine environmental protection, green mining and clean utilization of coal energy, management science and engineering, energy security and development strategy. It offers a platform for the exchanges and reporting of the latest academic progress and nourishes promising researchers and scholars in the field. It gives priority to research on latest findings in the field and those supported by all sources of national funding and National Key Technologies R & D programs. The journal is looking forward for your submission!

Guidelines for submissions

1) The submitted manuscript should be original and has a clear research topic, sound arguments, accurate data and refined language.

2) The manuscript should comprise a title, the authors' names, institutional affiliations, address and zip code, abstract, keywords (all the information above should be in both Chinese and English), Chinese Library Classification number, full affiliations for the first author and the corresponding author, main text and references.

3) The title should brief the research within 20 Chinese characters, usually without subtitle or non-public English abbreviations. 

4) Abstract should include the subject matter/purpose, method (including equipments and materials), results and conclusion within 200 to 300 words. 

5) The affiliations for the first author and the corresponding author should include their names, date of birth, gender, birthplace, professional title, academic degree, research area, means of contact and email address.

6) Figures and Tables should include Chinese and English captions for the corresponding figure/table. Figures should be clear and concise, where words, symbols and numbers should echo the corresponding description in the main text. Authors of an accepted manuscript should also provide additional figures in the required format: Bitmap images for photographs and seismic sections should be submitted as TIF or JPG files; electronic files in editable format prepared by Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Microsoft Office (Excel / PowerPoint / word) and other software or vector graphics images such as EMF and WMF shall be provided for other types of illustrations (bitmaps that cannot be edited shall not be accepted). Tables should be formatted into three horizontal lines, whose content should be carefully selected and do not overlap with those in figures. The same type of physical data in a table should maintain the same number of valid decimal places. 

7) Formulae should be accurate, where the quantity, unit of measure and symbols should conform to the national standards. Symbols that first appear in the text should be given their definition in physics. 

8) References should be numbered consecutively and listed at the end of the main text. When there are no more than three authors/translators/editors, their names should all be listed. When there are more than three, the names of the first three authors/translators/editors shall be listed, followed by “et al.”. Each name is separated by a comma. The names of foreign people are presented by starting with their surnames followed by first names, where the initials of their surnames are capitalized and their first names abbreviated and capitalized without period. The volume, issue and page numbers should be accurate. Direct quotations from non-English references (journal articles only) should present their original versions, followed by their English translations in a separate paragraph. 

9) A submitting author should first register and login in the journal's online submission system and submit no more than one manuscript at a time. The manuscript is at the disposal of the author who hasn't been informed of its acceptance within 60 days, unless otherwise agreed by the two sides. 

10) The author owns the copyright and is accountable for their manuscripts. The editorial office will send two copies of the latest issue to the authors after the manuscript has been published.
