Abstract:
As the domestic steel production capacity is increasing, blast furnace blowing coal can replace coke, and its strategic position is gradually increasing. The Huaibei coalfield is a highly potential area for blast furnace blowing coal production in east China. In order to systematically understand the coal rock and coal quality, process characteristics and resource accumulation of blast furnace blast coal in Huaibei coalfield, we analyzed the geological and spatial characteristics, distribution differences and resource potential of blast furnace blast coal by collating the data from previous drilling holes and downhole samples, and applying the methods of coal rock characterization, coal quality testing, comparative evaluation, and resource estimation. The results show that the Huaibei coalfield has a complete development of blast furnace blowing coal, with a wide range of high-quality anthracite, poor coal, poor lean coal, low-rank gas coal, non-sticky coal and weakly sticky coal, etc. The raw coal and the washed flotation coal have excellent coal quality and process quality, which not only satisfy the current specification of blast furnace blowing coal, but also have excellent characteristics. The total amount of coal resources for blast furnace blowing within -1 500 m is 994 million tons using traditional geological block method, and the resources are divided into first, second and third level according to the utilization value.
