Abstract
Cokingwastewaterisatypicalrefractoryindustrialwastewaterwithhighorganicload.Theincreasingly stringent effluent discharge standards have posed great challenges to traditional coking wastewatertreatmentprocesses.Cokingwastewatertreatmentsystemistypicallyacombinationofpretreatment,biologicaltreatmentandadvancedtreatment.Therein,biologicaltreatment,asthemainbody andthekeysegmentofthewholesystem, hastheadvantagesoflowcostandnosecondarypollution, and playsanimportantroleintheremovalofrefractoryorganicmatter. However, thebiologicalprocessesare generallyconfrontedwiththeproblemsoflowefficiencyandunstableoperationduetotheextremelylow biodegradabilityandlargefluctuationofcokingwastewaterquality.Inviewoftheseproblems, thispaper mainlyreviewstheanalysistechniquesofcokingwastewaterqualityaswellasvariouspretreatment, biologicaltreatmentandadvancedtreatmenttechnologies.Inparticular, themicrobialconsortiumstructure
