Geochemical characteristics and mining prospects of REE in Lugou coal mine of Xinmi coalfield

  • Thecontentofrareearthelementsandtheiroccurrencecharacteristicsunderlowtemperature ashingconditionsinLugoucoalmineofXinmicoalfieldwerestudiedbyXRD,XRFandICP-MSanalysistechniques.Theresultsshowthatthetotalcontentofrareearthelements(REE)inNo.1coalseam ofLugoucoalmineis21.85~287.62μg/g,withameanvalueof96.20μg/g.Therareearthelements inthecoalseamshowobviouslightrareearthenrichmentandheavyrareearthloss,whichismainlyderivedfromterrigenousclastics.Thecontentofrareearthelementsincoalisrelatedtothecontentofclay mineralsincoal,anditismostcloselyrelatedtothecontentofillite.Althoughthetectonicmovementof theMesozoicandCenozoicdestroysthestructureofcoalseams,ithasnoobviowseffectonthecontent anddistributioncharacteristicsrareearthelementsincoal.Thecontentofrareearthelementsinsome stratificationhassatisfiedtherequirementsofindustrialmining,andhascertaindevelopmentandutilizationvalue.
