Application of polyferric sulfate in the preparation of ultra clean coal by selective agglomeration

  • TheapplicationofpolyferricsulfateinthepreparationofUltraCleanCoalbyselectiveagglomerationwasinvestigated.TaixianthraciteinNingxiaastheresearchobject,theultrafinepulverized coalwasusedinthisstudy.Theeffectofthemilingtime,polymericferricsulphateandthemixtureof polyferricsulfateandpolyaluminiumchlorideonthecleanedcoalashcontentandyieldwerediscussed, furthermore,thebeneficiationeffectsofferricsulfateandpolyferricsulfatewerecompared.Theparticle sizeofcoalsampleswithdifferentmillingtimewasdeterminedbylaserparticlesizeanalyzer,andthe potentialvalueofcoalwithdifferentinorganicpolymerelectrolyteswasdeterminedbyZetapotentiometer.Theresultsshowthatpolyferricsulfateandferricsulfatehadapositiveeffectonthereductionof mineralcontentsincoal.Thebeneficiationeffectofpolyferricsulfateisbetterthanthatofferricsulfate
    atlowdosage.Polyferricsulfateand29% polyaluminiumchlorideweremixedat1∶1,whenitsdosage was26.45g/tandthemillingtimewas30minutes,theashcontentofultracleancoalwas0.63% and thecleancoalyieldwas66.84%.Withtheincreaseofthedosageofpolyferricsulfate,theZetapotential decreasedfrom-21.40mVto-14.30mVfirstandthenincreasedto-25.40mV.Withtheincreaseof the mixing amount of polyferric sulfate and polyaluminium chloride,the Zeta potential increased from-23.83mVto-13.33mV.
