Thecontactheatconductionproblembetweentheroughslidingsurfaceswasstudiedthrough secondary development of finite element software ABAQUS*The thermal contact conductance was definedasafunctionoftheslidingspeed,thelocalcontactpressure,materialpropertiesandthesurface roughness,andtheeffeecsofthreedimensionlessparameterswerealsoanalyzed*Theresultsrevealthat reciprocatingmotionhasasignificantinfluenceoncontactheatconduction*Whenheatconductionbe⁃ tweenslidingsurfacesreachastablestape,thedimensionlessmeanheatfluxperunittimeincreases withtherisingdimensionlessparametersηandω ~,whichtheheatconductiondecreaseswiththereduc⁃ tionofthecontactpressureandthegrowthofthesurfaceroughness*Besides,thevariationsofthedi⁃mensionlessaveragetemperatureareconsistentwiththoseofthedimensionlessaverageheatflux*
